In a post to Office Blogs on April 12, 2016, the Outlook Team announced new features for Outlook on the web to help you manage your calendar around vacation time. According to the blog, the new features:

  • Block your calendar so people know you’re away.
  • Clear existing meetings on your calendar by declining/canceling them.
  • Automatically send a response to incoming invitations while you’re away.

You must use Outlook on the web to enable these features. According to the blog post, once you are logged in, from Mail or Calendar, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select Automatic replies. The blocked activities will then show up on your device apps, etc.

You can read more about the changes in the post, Outlook on the web makes going on vacations less stressful on Office Blogs.
