Office 365 SharePoint Feature: The Simple Toolbar
Recently you may have noticed updates to the default view of your document libraries in Office 365. The updates implemented what is known as the Simple Toolbar, which provides a way for your users to quickly and easily work with the content within document libraries. The idea is that users don’t have to look far to find the most common actions they need. Below is a screenshot of the Simple Toolbar within a Document Library:
Each of the six options in the Simple Toolbar allow for users to quickly work with the Document Library content. Users don’t have to think twice about what to do, as all the commands are easily a click away.
I created a Quick Tips Session that explains and demonstrates in about 8 minutes how the new toolbar works. I encourage you to watch the session if you are looking for details on how it works and some of the gotchas you may find as you are working with it.
