With 20,000 attendees and even more vendors and Microsoft personnel on hand, Microsoft Ignite 2015 is going to be a spectacle you do not want to miss. Running May 4-8 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in downtown Chicago, expectations are running high as this one event replaces the long-standing TechEd event, the SharePoint Conference, and other platform-specific events, combining them into one uber-event.
For those who want to know more about Microsoft’s social strategy and investments, you’ll find a number of great speakers and topics throughout the week. While my list here does not include all social-related topics being covered (there are a dozen Dynamics sessions that include social, for example), the following list of 12 sessions are on my priority list.
If you are relatively new to the topic and want a more business-focused review of the Yammer platform and social journey, go into the Ignite session list and filter your view on the social theme, and you should find some additional options from more great speakers.
Pay attention to the Monday vision keynotes – which are sure to include some news around social. Beyond those, there are two must-see sessions, led by Microsoft product team members, detailing roadmaps for Yammer and Office 365 groups:
Spread across the week, these are the social sessions that I hope to attend:
Did I miss any sessions on your list? And are you aware of any expo hall theater sessions that will also cover Yammer, Groups, or Dynamics social capabilities that should be included here? Let me know.
